Custom Software Development
We design and build the software your business needs when no off-the-shelf tool fits the way you actually work. It is tested where it matters, documented as it grows, and written so another team could pick it up tomorrow without starting over.
You need this if…
- You're holding a core process together with several SaaS tools and spreadsheet exports.
- Your prototype or MVP has real users, but every new feature breaks something else.
- Several contractors have touched the code and nobody fully understands it anymore.
- Your no-code tool starts to strain as data volumes or integrations grow.
The problem
An idea or prototype needs to become a reliable, maintainable system that a team can monitor and operate. Standard tools may not fit the requirements, and fragmented outsourcing can leave ownership of the code unclear.
Who it's for
Founders turning a prototype into a product, and teams replacing systems that no longer meet their needs.
What you get
A tested, documented codebase your team can operate and extend, with a clear architecture, observability, and delivery practices designed to limit rewrites as it grows.
What we deliver
Security and access
Access rights, secrets, and backups set up properly from the start, and the usual security checks run before each release. The basics that are hard to bolt on later.
Tests and continuous integration
Automated tests cover the business rules and critical user flows, and run on every change. They let you change the code without worrying about breaking what already works.
Repeatable deployment and monitoring
A scripted deployment pipeline and separate environments so changes are tested before production. Logs and alerts show you what is running and warn you when something goes wrong.
Handover documentation
Architecture decisions written down with their context, plus a runbook for setting up the project and diagnosing incidents. A new developer should be able to contribute without depending on us.
How we work
Build or buy
Before writing any code, we check whether a SaaS product or a no-code tool would do the job. We only custom-build the part that sets you apart.
Data model first
We model your entities and business rules with you, then ship a thin first slice that runs through the whole system all the way to production.
Small production increments
Increments are deployed regularly, each with its own tests. You see the software working in real conditions and adjust priorities based on what you observe.
Gradual handover
If you have developers, they review our pull requests, then start writing their own. If not, we document for whoever takes over next, employee or contractor.
Frequently asked questions
Do we really need custom software, or would SaaS or no-code do?
Not necessarily. If your need is standard, like invoicing or a CRM, an existing tool will usually cost less. Custom software makes sense when it carries your competitive edge, or when your business rules don't fit any tool without expensive workarounds. Often the right answer is a mix of both.
Our prototype already works. Do we need to rewrite it?
It depends on its condition. We start with an audit covering code quality, the data model, security, and test coverage. Often we keep the model and part of the logic, then rework the rest gradually, with tests in place first. A full rewrite only makes sense when the foundations block every change.
Can you take over code written by another contractor?
Yes, after a short audit. We review code quality, the data model, security, and how well it is tested, then tell you plainly what can be kept. Most of the time we stabilize what works, add tests around the critical paths, and improve the rest step by step rather than rewriting it.
